STEP BEYOND THE VEIL This song was written for my friend Debbie O'Dell. She helped teach me about really being a worshipper - - and the sacrifice involved in being a worship leader. She taught me that worship isn't just something we do on Sunday, but it is a vital part of our relationship with Jesus and it needs to be woven into the very fabric of our lives. She has impacted my life and my personal ministry more than I could ever say. There is a place that I can know the Savior. There is a cross that made the way for me. There is a call that Jesus chose to answer, And in that call He gave His life, He gave everything for me. (Chorus) Step beyond the veil, into the arms of Jesus. Step beyond the veil, into the presence of God. Lord cleanse me in the fountain and consume me in the fire. Now I stand surrendered, Your pleasure's my desire. Oh Lord cleanse me in the fountain and consume me in the fire. As I step beyond the veil. There is a place that I can know the Father. There is a love that made the way for me. But there is a call that I must choose to answer, And in that call I lose my life To what He has for me. (Repeat Chorus)

AMAZING GRACE IS MORE This is the first song I wrote after I became a Christian. I had grown up in church and had always heard about "amazing grace," but when I experienced it first hand, my life was forever changed. Pastor Jim Combs, this song is for you! Amazing grace how sweet the sound, It's a song I'd sang o'er and o'er again. But I never understood, just how amazing God's grace could be, 'til you reached down touched my broken life and set me free. (Chorus) And now amazing grace is more than just a song to me. And it's more than just a melody in my soul. Amazing is God's love in sending His own son to die. And grace is Jesus taking my broken life and making me whole. When we've been there ten thousand years, It will be just the start of my praise. Forever at His feet I'll bow, lay all my crowns and trophies down And thank Him for all He's done for me, Amazing grace! (Repeat Chorus) Amazing is God’s love in sending His own Son to die and grace is Jesus taking my broken life and making me whole.

WHEN I THINK (Scott's Song) This song was written for my friend Scott. At a time in his life when there really was nowhere else to turn, he found Jesus! This is a song about the Lord’s incredible faithfulness. Lord, here I am, There's no where else to go. I've tried it by myself And now I've got to know. That You will forgive me And calm this raging storm. Savior be my hiding place And in Your arms I'll know. (Chorus) When I think of Your grace, I see Jesus. When I think of Your love, I see the cross. When I think of Your mercy And forgiveness in my life… That's when I thank You Lord For loving me so much. Lord, here I am, No where else I'd rather go. With You beside me Sweet assurance I can know. That You will forgive me In the times that I fail. Savior what a hiding place, Your peace is always there. (Repeat Chorus)

A HEART TO WORSHIP 1999 was a terrible year for me personally. As Christmas approached, I wanted nothing to do with the season and I felt very far away from the Lord. But in a moment of loneliness (and feeling very sorry for myself), I reached for the Bible and turned to the Christmas story. It was like I was reading it for the first time! There in the fields minding their own business, were shepherds - - and God brought Heaven to them. Then there were the wise men who traveled thousands of miles seeking the Savior. The Lord showed me, wherever we are - - far away or drawing near - - He is there waiting with open arms. There were shepherds watching flocks by night just outside of Bethlehem, all at once the sky was filled with a great light. Then the angel said tonight is born the Savior of the world, this very night you’ll be a witness to God’s salvation plan unfurled. Like the shepherd’s Lord let me have a heart to worship You. Let me stand in awe at the wonder of Your grace. Help me understand Your mercy That was unfolded in a manger. When all of Heaven sang and shepherd’s came, Lord I want to be someone who worships. There were wisemen traveling from the East on their way to Bethlehem. They had journeyed far and followed a great light. With their gifts of gold and frankincense they knelt down at his feet, He is Emmanuel and God with us, He is the promised King. Like the wisemen Lord let me have a heart to worship You. Let me stand in awe at the wonder of Your grace. Help me understand Your mercy That was unfolded in a manger. When all of Heaven sang and wisemen came, Lord I want to be someone who worships. Lord I want to have a heart to really worship You. Let me stand in awe at the wonder of Your grace. Help me understand Your mercy That was unfolded in a manger. When all of Heaven sang and shepherd’s came, Heaven sang and wisemen came All of Heaven sang when Jesus came Lord I want to be someone Lord I want to be who worships.

YOUR LOVE This is a song that the Lord gave me for a specific time in my life and it really is one of my favorite songs that I have written. Even though my life is totally different than it was when I wrote this, the message of God's love and His plans for us are still the same! Thank You Lord for Your faithfulness. II remember when they told me I could find love in my life. A love poured out for me upon the cross. In that one life changing moment, my past was wiped away. My sin erased my soul no longer lost. Lord I thank You for the faith that I could know Your graceand I thank You, I thank You for Your love. Oh Your love, Your love, that shields me in the fire Oh Your love, Your love, that hides me in the storm Oh Your love, Your love, Lord make it my desire, And keep me in the center of Your love. I remember when You told me I could find love in my life; that You had a special someone just for me. In that one life changing moment I gave my heart away. In their smile Lord You showed Your truth to me. Now we thank You for the faith that we could know Your grace and we thank You We thank You for Your love. Oh Your love, Your love that shields us in the fire Oh Your love, Your love, that hides us in the storm Oh Your love, Your love, Lord make it our desire, And keep us in the center of Your love.

THE POINT OF GRACE The message of this song has overwhelmed me! At a time when I never needed anything more than a fresh touch from Jesus - - He was faithful. When the fire of life leaves you so dry That your eyes have no tears left to cry When heartache leaves you wondering why? And wondering how you will survive. When you’ve grown too tired to run the race Find your strength is gone without a trace When you’ve reached that lonely desperate place Then you have reached the point of grace. (Chorus) And I will meet you there where your striving ends I will hold you there in my embrace. You will find the place where true joy begins When you reach the point of grace When you reach the point of grace When your hopes and dreams begin to fade And disappointment’s clouding all the plans you’ve made. Feeling lonely, broken and afraid It seems so long since you have seen the light of day When it seems like every trial you face Leaves you one step closer to the place Where you’ll fall away or reach for My embrace Then you have reached the point of grace (Repeat Chorus) Just let go and you will see Just how mighty love can be Child your greatest strength is when you’re weak Looking up from your brokenness to me (Repeat Chorus)

TREAD SOFTLY Through some of the most difficult times in my life, this has been a song that has ministered to me. The Lord is always a perfect gentleman and will not do more in us and with us than we allow Him to. Lord, move me out of the way. Erase my boundaries. Lead me - - and help me to follow. There is pain trapped within my darkness The rejection is so hard to bear. My heart beats for a new tomorrow. Who will I turn to? Who will care? I’m afraid! I’m so afraid! To step out of what I’ve known into Your grace. Will You give me joy when I mourn? Will You dry my tears when I’ve been scorned? Will You fill me in my emptiness? Will You love me in my loneliness? Oh I ask You Lord, tread softly. I’ve known pain trapped within the darkness. The rejection is so hard to bear. With my life I gave a new tomorrow. Place your hand in Mine, I will care. Don’t be afraid! Don’t be afraid! I will wipe away Your past with My grace. I will give you joy when you mourn. I will dry your tears when you’ve been scorned. I will fill your emptiness. I will love you in your loneliness, And I promise you, I’ll tread softly. As You walk within the halls of my heart Lord, Tread softly, tread softly. As You journey through the rooms of my life, Tread softly Lord, tread softly.

THE ANSWER TO MY QUESTIONS My friend Chris was diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer: my Uncle Jim was diagnosed with colon cancer: my cousin, just 23 years old, killed himself and my friends Linda and Sylvia were going through a horrible time of personal turmoil and illness. I found myself asking the Lord why? Why are all of these things happening? His response was - - “Don’t worry! I AM the answer.” Lord help me to remember that - - and to trust You through the difficulties. There are things that happen in this life I cannot understand. There are circumstances out of my control. But in the times that there are questions, I know Who has the answers - - And He has promised He will never let me go. (Chorus 1) When I doubt He’s my assurance. When I fall He is my grace. When I mourn He is my joy. When I am weak He’s a resting place. When I am sick He is my healer. When I’m alone a hand to hold. He is the answer to my questions and He has promised He will never let me go! So when things begin to happen that you cannot understand. You can place your circumstances firmly in God’s hands. For in the times that you have questions, I know Who has the answers, and He has promised He will never let you go. (Chorus 2) When you doubt He’s your assurance. When you fall He is your grace. When you mourn He is your joy. When you are weak He’s a resting place. When you are sick He is your healer. When you’re alone a hand to hold. He is the answer to your question and He has promised He will never let you go! Jesus, oh Jesus! You have loved us thine we are! Jesus, precious Jesus! You have loved us thine we are! (Repeat Chorus 1)

THAT YOU LOVE ME Thank You Lord for loving me! Thank You for saving me! Thank You for reminding me over and over that You do love me - - even when I am the most unlovable. When I thought I would never be used again by the Lord, He showed me that He would use me. Thank You Jesus! When I need peace You lead me to a gentle garden When I need rest You guide me by a quiet stream When I need shelter Lord in You I find a hiding place. And there You take me in Your arms And You whisper once again that You love me. (Chorus) That You love me when I am unlovable. That You love me when all my faith is gone. That You love me Lord it’s almost unbelievable, But then You take me in Your arms And You remind me once again that You love me. When I need grace the grace You give is so amazing. When I need mercy, mercy flows from an endless stream. When I need forgiveness then You wash me in the fountain. And then You take me in Your arms and You tell me once again that You love me. (Repeat Chorus)

COME BOLDLY This song is for my friends at Praise Fellowship Christian Church. During a sermon one Sunday evening, Pastor Rick Green reminded us of the scripture that declares, “Come boldly to the throne….” What a privilege we have because of the sacrifice of Jesus. Come boldly to the throne by the blood of the Lamb. Come boldly to His presence and praise the One who is I Am. Without fear or hesitation, He invites us to come in. So come boldly to the throne and sing His praises once again. (Repeat) Outside the city of Jerusalem, upon a rugged hill, There stood a cross on which the Savior carried out His Father’s will. He was the instrument of mercy, but then God turned away His face. And in that very moment, justice met grace! (Chorus) Come boldly to the throne by the blood of the Lamb. Come boldly to His presence and praise the One who is I Am. Without fear or hesitation, He invites us to come in. So come boldly to the throne and sing His praises once again. Outside the city of Jerusalem, upon a rugged hill, There stood a cross on which my Savior carried out His Father’s will. But deep inside the temple, the veil was torn in two. And in that very moment, the Father came to me and you! (Repeat Chorus)

THE PICTURE SONG Along with my mom, my Aunt June is one of the Godliest women that I have ever known. Over 50 years ago, in the midst of one of the darkest days in her life, God gave this song. A simple song of faith and the love of Jesus. Thank you Aunt June for your example and the privilege of singing this song. Men today buy paintings a great fortune they'll pay They call them a masterpiece, they are priceless they say. But I have a picture that the world cannot own, A more beautiful painting than they’ve ever known. (Chorus) A picture of a lovelier Jesus, than any artist on earth has ever painted before. And the scars that I can see were the marks made by me. And the sin that I committed was the cross that He bore. Close your eyes now and pray and paint on your mind, this beautiful stairway that we all can climb. At the top stands the one who bore all our shame, yesterday and forever He is always the same. The love on the face of this Wonderful One, shines down that great stairway more bright than the sun. I see Him hold out His hand in every prayer that I pray and my burdens grow lighter Every step of the way. (Repeat Chorus) If you’re searching for something, if by sin you are blind - - You can find it in Jesus the Savior Divine. Just let Him cleanse you from sin Then I know you will see, This beautiful Savior that’s so precious to me. (Repeat Chorus)
